For a considerable period of time, the covid-19 epidemic has faced many issues with the quality of life of people as well as the performance of society institutions. Iranian researchers have explored the various effects and consequences of this event and have reflected some of their achievements in scientific journals. Knowledge of the achievements of the efforts made will be enlightening from a scientific and practical point of view. In this regard, two goals can be imagined. The first goal is to identify the characteristics of the existing articles in terms of theoretical, methodological and content coordinates, and the second goal is to identify the effects of the Corona crisis on the Iranian society.
Sylvia Walby's concept of crisis has been used as a thinking tool in the analysis of information taken from selected articles. Relying on the systematic review of previous researches, 93 articles related to this topic that were published in social sciences and sociology journals of Iran between 2021 and 2022 were selected and reviewed. The results of the analysis indicate that most of the researches have studied Covid-19 at micro level and with a descriptive (39.8%) and explanatory-consequential (35.9%) approach. Social psychology (19.2 percent) and sociology of religion (14.1 percent) have been in the center of researchers' attention more than other fields. Also, most of the researches (41.5%) have considered Covid-19 as a crisis that has changed the shape and structure of society in some areas such as religiosity, lifestyles, leisure patterns, mourning ceremonies and education methods. At the end, some research gaps related to the study of the social dimensions of Covid-19 have been raised.
