Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy
The primary objective of this policy is to ensure the long-term preservation, continuous accessibility, and security of the scholarly content published in the Journal of Social Problems of Iran. As a reputable academic journal, we recognize the critical role of digital archiving in safeguarding knowledge and facilitating future research. By implementing this policy, the journal aims to contribute to the global scholarly community by ensuring the permanence and unhindered availability of its valuable research outputs.
Archiving Mechanisms:
1. Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) Services:
The content of the Journal of Social Problems of Iran is systematically archived and indexed by various recognized scientific databases, including ISC, SID, Magiran, and others. Authors, readers, and researchers can reliably discover, access, and share our published articles through these external platforms.
2. Submitted Manuscript (Pre-print):
Authors are permitted to self-archive the initial, submitted version of their manuscript (prior to peer review) in institutional or subject-specific repositories.
3. Accepted Manuscript (Post-print or Author’s Accepted Manuscript):
Authors are allowed to archive the peer-reviewed and accepted version of their manuscript in relevant repositories with zero embargo, meaning no restriction period or additional licensing delays apply.
4. Published Version (Version of Record):
While we actively encourage author self-archiving, the final, formatted, and published version of the manuscript is permanently archived and freely accessible directly via the journal’s official platform and the publisher’s digital depository.
