بررسی تجربی ارتباط بین دین و سرمایۀ اجتماعی در ایران

چکیده
چهارچوب تحلیلی سرمایهٔ اجتماعی تأکید دارد بر جامعه‌پذیری افراد که از مشارکت در گروه‌های انجمنی ناشی می‌شود، و این‌که چگونه این جامعه‌پذیری در خدمت القای هنجارهای خاص مشترک و تشویق کنش اجتماعی همیارانه و مشارکتی است. طرفداران چهارچوب سرمایهٔ اجتماعی معتقدند زندگی انجمنی، کارکردهایی برای ایجاد اعتماد، تقویت شبکه‌های اجتماعی گسترده و تثبیت هنجارهایی دارد که نظام‌های اجتماعی سالم را حفظ و توانمند می‌سازد. در این راستا، «دین» به‌عنوان یکی از عوامل مهمِ تولید و تقویت سرمایهٔ اجتماعی در جوامع مطرح شده و استدلال‌هایی توسط جامعه‌شناسان در معقول‌سازی این رابطه اقامه گردیده است. در پژوهش حاضر، ابتدا استدلال‌های معطوف به مکانیسم‌های تولید سرمایهٔ اجتماعی توسط دین به فرضیاتی در خصوص چگونگی ارتباط دین با سرمایهٔ اجتماعی ترجمه گردید. سپس، تلاش شد با واحد تحلیل قراردادن «شهرستان» و استفاده از داده‌های ثانویه، اعتبار این فرضیات با روش تطبیقی درون‌کشوری در ایران مورد آزمون تجربی قرار گیرد. یافته‌های مربوط به آزمون تجربی فرضیات این تحقیق نشان داد حتی هنگامی‌که اثرات شاخص‌های مختلف توسعه‌یافتگی کنترل و حذف شود، دین هنوز هم عاملی تأثیرگذار بر تقویت سرمایهٔ اجتماعی در ایران است.
