Authors who use artificial intelligence tools for parts of their articles, before using these tools and submitting their articles, they should read and act in accordance with the "Guide to Using Artificial Intelligence Tools in Research," which was compiled under the supervision of the Deputy for Research of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and by the National Institute for Science Policy Research and was communicated to universities and higher education centers for implementation.
In this guide, in addition to explaining the basic definitions and concepts of artificial intelligence, the ethical requirements for using these tools in education and research, including transparency in declaring use, scientific responsibility, respecting privacy and confidentiality of data, avoiding falsification of data and sources, and demarcating instances of "authorized use" and "unauthorized use," are clearly explained.
This document also includes guidelines for data classification and use, citation and referencing requirements for AI tools, policies of some reputable scientific publishers in this field, and regulatory and disciplinary frameworks related to potential violations, and will serve as a reference document for faculty members, researchers, and students across the country.
