We are proud to inform you that, based on the evaluation of the Scientific Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology - the results of which are published on the "Scientific Publications Portal of the Research Policy and Planning Office" - the Journal of Social Problems of Iran has been upgraded to "A" rank in 2024. This upgrade is the result of valuable scientific and professional efforts and collaborations that have been formed over the past years.
This achievement would not have been possible without the valuable participation of researchers, article authors, scientific reviewers, and the support of the journal's editorial and executive team. Change in the composition of the editorial board members

In view of the completion of the period of cooperation of the previous members of the Editorial Board with the journal, the new members of the Editorial Board were elected and their decrees were issued by the Honorable Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of Kharazmi University.

Changing the journal from "bi-quarterly" to "quarterly"

Following the request of the journal management to change the publication order of the Journal of Social Problems of Iran from a "bi-quarterly" to a "quarterly", we inform you that this request has been approved by the Vice-Chancellor of Research and Technology of Kharazmi University and the Supervisory Board of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and since 2024, the articles of this journal have been published as a "quarterly" (four issues per year).

Improvement of the quartile of the journal

Based on the latest report of Islamic World Citation Institute in 2021, the quartile rank of Journal of Social Problems of Iran increased from Q3 in 2020 to Q1 in 2021.
We congratulate the members of the journal, the department of sociology and the family of Kharazmi University for this promotion.

Improvement of the impact factor of the journal

According to the latest report of Islamic World Citation Institute in 2021, the impact factor of Journal of Social Problems of Iran increased from 0.311 in 2020 to 0.642 in 2021.
We congratulate the members of the journal, the department of sociology and the family of Kharazmi University for this promotion.
